Acne products: a waste of money for the vast
majority of users.

Let's face it. Acne products may never cure
your problem. If you're like most acne sufferers, you continually
battle your problem with the daily task of spending time in front
of the mirror popping pimples, washing and applying moisturizers
and creams and other acne products. Unfortunately, you never
see an improvement. Or if you do, you're likely to
see the situation worsen if you let up on your regimen for a day
or two. Isn't it time you consider looking elsewhere for
a cure rather than just treating the symptom with more acne problems?
Acne is believed by most people to be caused by
clogged pores that are filled with dirt and oil. However,
many skincare professionals, dermatologists, and family doctors
are discovering that a lot of acne is actually caused by something
that can never be cured with proper hygiene and acne products.
In fact, studies have shown that many times, acne
is the body's way of exhibiting a much deeper, more serious problem.
If acne were just caused by clogged pores, regular cleansing with
soap and water would do the trick — there would be no need
for acne products.
Scientists say that it's becoming more and more
obvious that acne is caused by reactions to foods and other
substances to which the body is allergic. Common food
allergies resulting in acne include peanuts, wheat, sugar, and
dairy.
Unfortunately for the vast majority of acne sufferers,
they continually purchase traditional skin cleansers, moisturizers,
and acne products containing benzyl peroxide and salicylic acid.
Living in ignorance of the fact that their acne is the result
of something much deeper than their skin, they continue to waste
huge sums of money treating the symptoms with over-the-counter
acne products rather than digging deeper to find the cause of
the acne.
Discovering if you have allergies can be a fairly
simple process begun by eliminating the most common acne-causing
foods from your diet for a week or so. You can easily isolate
which category of foods is causing the acne breakouts by eliminating
just one group per week until you notice a change. If you
eliminate more than one thing at a time, you'll be unable to determine
which food caused the reaction if you notice an improvement in
your acne so just choose one per week.
The benefits can go way beyond just improved skin.
Many people discover that other issues they've struggled with
their whole lives may disappear as well. For instance,
you may experience a dramatic increase in energy, dissipation
of headaches, elimination of digestive problems and even an
improvement with back pain. Allergies can manifest themselves
in many ways and the fastest way to determine if your problems
are caused by allergies is to experiment by eliminating certain
types of foods from your diet.
It may sound horrible to eliminate all wheat or
sugar from your diet but generally the benefits of better health
far out-weigh the loss.
So, the next time you're scrubbing your face and
applying acne creams, think about whether or not you're just
treating the symptoms of something more serious — much
deeper than your skin. Stop wasting your time and money
on acne products that may be complicating your acne
care skin care routine. If you've been using over-the-counter
medications for years only to keep your acne under control,
consider a whether or not you may have allergies.
